It’s that time of year again! Spring has sprung and we’re thrilled to announce that Acme Meats is now a pickup location for Riverbend CSA, bringing farm-fresh, locally grown vegetables right to our door every Thursday this summer.
Great meals start with great ingredients. That’s something we’ve always believed here at Acme Meats, which is why we’ve once again jumped at the chance to partner with Riverbend CSA. Whether you’re building the perfect summer stir-fry, grilling up a feast, or just stocking your fridge with the good stuff, having locally grown vegetables delivered steps from your door makes it all a little easier, and a whole lot tastier.
What Is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. When you sign up, you’re essentially buying a “share” of a local farm’s harvest for the season. Each week, you receive a curated box of whatever’s fresh and in season. No guessing, no grocery store trips, just honest, seasonal produce straight from the farm to your table.
Riverbend CSA has been supplying families in our community with exceptional local vegetables for years. Their commitment to sustainable farming and incredible produce quality makes them a perfect fit for our community here at Acme Meats.
How It Works at Acme Meats
Once you’ve signed up through Riverbend CSA, simply choose Acme Meats as your pickup location. Every Thursday throughout the 14-week season, your box of fresh local vegetables will be waiting for you right here in store. Pick it up alongside your favourite cuts and you’ve got everything you need for a great week of cooking.

14 Years and Counting
Here’s something we’re genuinely proud of: Acme Meats has been part of the Riverbend CSA family since 2012. When Riverbend was just getting started, we were one of the very first businesses they approached to be a pickup location, and we said yes without hesitation. That was 14 years ago, and we haven’t looked back since.
Watching Riverbend grow from a fledgling local farm into a beloved community institution has been a real pleasure. We’ve seen seasons of bumper crops and seasons of late frosts, and through all of it, the quality and care they put into every box has never wavered. Being one of the original partners is something we wear as a badge of honour.

At Acme Meats, we’ve always been about supporting local. Our suppliers are our neighbours, our customers are our community, and the food we sell matters. This partnership isn’t something new we’re trying out, it’s a 14-year relationship built on shared values and a mutual love of great food.
